Senior Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the development of microcontroller-based power electronics products.

The role focuses on designing and implementing manufacturing equipment and processes, incorporating automation and robotics to drive efficiency and productivity.

You will work on new product introductions and the development of innovative production processes, collaborating with production teams to improve processes and train operatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop automated test and inspection machines to ensure high-quality products.
  2. Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, from concept to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including technical drawings and test rig challenges, to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  4. Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements and train operatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  5. Develop electronic circuit designs, including PCB layout and system schematics, to meet product requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. HNC or Degree in Engineering or Technology disciplines, with a strong background in electronics and manufacturing.
  2. Proficiency in software programming and CAD packages, including NI LabVIEW and SolidWorks.
  3. Expertise in Test Equipment electrical and mechanical design, and machine safety, with a focus on ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  4. Skilled in using PCB design software and digital design, with experience in multiplexers, combinational logic circuits, and C programming.
  5. Familiarity with electronic circuit design, fault diagnosis, and debugging, with a strong understanding of electronics principles and manufacturing processes.
