Join Canadian Solar Inc., a leading solar technology and renewable energy company, as a Commercial Manager in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, negotiate contracts with contractors & suppliers, and make strategic product decisions for projects in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and lead the RFP response and competitive bid processes for projects in EMEA, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission.
- Lead the Customer and sub-contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services, and EPC contracts by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop key requirements for RFPs to sub-contractors and evaluate the bid results.
- Responsible for bid analysis and modeling to support the strategic procurement process.
- Work with supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and generate insights on supply chain and BESS landscape.
- Actively identify opportunities to improve business processes and support the implementation of such.
- Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
- Provide contract support to the Project's team during contract execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, Finance, or Economics or related field degree.
- Commercial contract negotiation and RFPs management experience for equipment supply in the energy sector.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce.
- Fluent in English in speaking and writing.
- Ability to take critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and proven leadership skills in virtual project teams.
