About the Role

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring we deliver design-conscious book marketing and brand communications across all our channels. As a conduit between the book design team and the marketing team, you will be responsible for generating creative concepts, designs, or commissions for book campaigns and marketing projects.

  1. Developing innovative visual identities for Penguin Classics across all touchpoints, online and offline.
  2. Crafting and maintaining robust brand marketing guidelines for consistent branding.
  3. Interpreting and presenting creative briefs to key stakeholders.
  4. Ensuring coherent design across digital platforms for Penguin Press, reviewing advertising, sales materials, merchandise, and social content.
  5. Inspiring the team as a consultative voice and source of expertise on design briefs and creative direction.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in designing for a creative brand, with responsibility for brand communication.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative flair, versatility, and technical skills.
  • Good understanding of UX and UI principles.
  • Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop).
  • Demonstrable experience preparing print-ready assets.
What We Offer

We are offering a competitive salary of £35,000, plus bonus and benefits, including financial protection, wellbeing support, and lifestyle perks. Hybrid working options allow for flexibility, with an average of two days a week in our Embassy Gardens office.
