As a key member of our maternity unit, you will be responsible for leading a team of midwives and coordinating the clinical workload to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of midwives and coordinate the clinical workload
* Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources
* Provide clinical expertise to maintain normality in childbirth
* Undertake rotational duties and adopt a flexible approach to working practices
* Assist in the development of service initiatives within the department

Requirements:

* Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration
* Extensive all-round experience in midwifery, including substantial labour ward experience
* ENB 997/998 or other equivalent teaching qualification
* Educated to postgraduate Diploma level or equivalent
* Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) course
* Newborn Life Support (NLS) course
* Mentorship and preceptorship training
* High dependency care training
* Trained in extended roles
* Evidence of ongoing professional development and fulfillment of PREP requirements
* Fulfillment of all mandatory training
