We are seeking an experienced Freight Operations Coordinator to join our Specialist Haulage team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning the loading and unloading of cargo and freight shipments while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Raising accurate quotes for loading and unloading of cargo and road transport to ensure profitability;">
  • Ensuring all containers and cargo movements are correctly arranged and booked into both internal and external systems;">
  • Coordinating the activities of Cargo Handlers team in respect of loading and unloading cargo;">
  • Arranging with customers pick up and collection of equipment / cargo as required;">
  • Being a point of contact for any cargo related / specialist haulage enquiries;">
  • Obtaining and securing the best possible price for any purchases or service required;">
  • Ensuring customer service levels with all customers are achieved to the minimum agreed targets;">
  • Finalising jobs on internal systems with revenue and costs to allow them to be processed for invoicing.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • Previous experience in a similar role within shipping lines, port operations, haulage and/or container handling operations;">
  • Knowledge of Road Haulage;">
  • Attention to detail;">
  • Strong team player skills;">
  • Previous TOPS experience – desirable.">
