Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist Consultant to join our mental health team at HMP Gartree, a category B prison in Leicestershire.

The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver psychiatric support to adult males aged 28-50, who have complex mental health and historic trauma needs.

About the Role
  • Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service and lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments.
  • Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in complex case reviews.
Requirements
  • Specialist Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD.
  • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation.
