Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at the forefront of innovation and excellence in Staffordshire's thriving manufacturing industry.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations, working alongside a team of experienced engineers to ensure the smooth running of our equipment and processes.

About the Role

As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to the shift engineering team, working on mechanical and electrical equipment on both reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining and improving the efficiency of all production machinery
  • Providing breakdown diagnostics, resolving any issues, and escalating correctly
  • Fault finding and rectification on a variety of machinery and systems
  • Ensuring work is carried out accurately and safely and documented correctly

You will work with machinery such as mixers, ovens, moulders, conveyor systems, fast flow machines, check weighers, metal check and X-ray machines.

As a senior member of the team, you will also play an active role in the training and development of the engineering team, through sharing best practice and mentoring of apprentices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled)
  • Electrical systems and installation experience
  • CMMS and SAP experience is required
  • A strong understanding of Maintenance systems - Lean principles are desirable
  • A strong understanding of Health and Safety
  • PLC fault-finding experience is desirable
