Clinical Opportunity in Palliative Care

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Consultant to join our team at Princess Alice Hospice, one of the top adult hospices in the UK. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity lasting 12 months.

Job Summary: As a Clinical Consultant, you will provide specialist palliative care and support to our community of patients and their families. You will be part of a dynamic medical team that values continuous professional development and offers opportunities for teaching, audit, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality patient care and lead the development of clinical services in palliative medicine.
  • To contribute to the delivery of education and training programs for healthcare professionals.
  • To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., medicine, surgery, or other allied health professions).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in palliative care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary aligned to current NHS Consultant Pay Scales (£145,000 - £243,672 per annum), dependent on previous relevant experience.

  • 27 days' annual leave, rising to 29 days after 5 years' service and 33 days after 10 years' service (pro rata for part-time staff).
