Role Overview

A Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant position is available at a state-of-the-art SEN school in South Sunderland, offering an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the classroom.

Job Details
  • Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant role
  • Full-time, long-term contract starting in September 2024
  • Earn up to £470 per week as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Mon-Fri, 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)
Responsibilities

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with SEN and Primary teachers to promote personalized learning and support for students with acute autism and complex learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working 1:1 and in small group lessons focusing on developing communication skills and emotional regulation through play
  • Supporting children aged 2-11 years with a range of learning needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant prior experience in tutoring or other educational environments
  • A degree in Education or a related field
  • The ability to work effectively with students with complex learning needs
