About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Delivery Assistant. As a key member of our station operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our train stations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our passengers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Assist with the safe and punctual departure of trains from the station, adhering to strict dispatch procedures.
  • Offer helpful information and assistance to customers, ensuring they have a positive experience at our stations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment at our stations, including toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, stairs, and subways.
  • Liaise with other key departments to ensure accurate and timely customer information, particularly during times of disruption.
Requirements
  • Deliver outstanding front-line customer service, consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Make confident decisions, remaining calm and customer-focused in challenging situations.
  • Be comfortable working within strict procedures and guidelines.
Working Pattern

You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, with a roster that averages 35 hours over 6 weeks. You must be able to get to and from the station without relying on public transport.

Additional Information

This is a predictive advert to create a pool of suitable candidates who can be appointed pending vacancy approval. Applicants who are successfully shortlisted will be expected to undertake an online ability test and competency-based interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for this role, including colour vision and hearing tests. A Basic DBS is also required.
