About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Administration Project Manager to join our team at Capita Pension Solutions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Scheme Events and Projects, working closely with clients, Capita colleagues, and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, permanent position based in a home-based setting within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver requirements for Scheme Events and Projects, including time scales, deliverables, quality, and sign-off, and contribute to the planning process.
  • Review the work of Pensions Data Technicians, providing feedback and technical support as needed.
  • Maintain the accuracy and quality of Scheme Events and Projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, Capita colleagues, and external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead client and project calls for key projects, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
  • Own and manage scheme events calendars, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Identify and report risks and breaches promptly to line management and/or the Operational Risk & Compliance Department, maintaining RAID logs as necessary.
  • Take ownership of assigned clients' scheme event calendars, providing regular progress updates to management and clients.
  • Regularly review and enhance existing systems and controls to improve service delivery, processes, and business risk mitigation.
  • Support the management team in all aspects of service delivery and business support, including ad-hoc projects, auditing, and other initiatives.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead the delivery of Scheme Events and Projects for assigned clients, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Perform data processes, including extracting and transforming data from administration systems, creating reports, uploading data, building mail merge letters, and performing bulk calculations in Excel.
  • Act as project manager for smaller projects and Scheme Events, ensuring effective coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert for large internal change and client projects, leading work streams on larger projects.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of DB pensions schemes and pension administration systems.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and quality management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including using filters, sorting, pivot tables, formulas (lookups, IF statements, date calculations), and formatting cells according to guidelines.
  • Project Management skills, with experience in managing complex data analysis.
  • A Level Maths or Degree with a maths element, or relevant work experience involving complex data analysis.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • PMI qualifications.
  • Management skills.
