About the Role

  • Handle a caseload of contentious construction matters, providing expert advice and representation to clients.
  • Advise on all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings, utilizing strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Represent clients in Technology and Construction Court proceedings, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Liaise with clients, other professionals, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with key contacts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' PQE in construction law, with experience in contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Strong academic background, with a 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Postgraduate course in construction law or a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, including the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 and the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • IT proficient, with experience using relevant software and systems.
