We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our Private Wealth and Tax team in Edinburgh.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the Tax Compliance Team in ensuring timely and accurate tax returns and provisions.
- Develop and implement procedures for obtaining client information and preparing tax returns within set timescales.
- Review tax returns for individuals, trusts, charities, and estates to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure tax returns and forms are submitted to HMRC within deadlines and tax paid within relevant time limits.
- Oversee team members' adherence to time recording and record-keeping policies and ensure fees are issued promptly.
- Manage appraisals, holiday requests, and absence notifications for team members.
- Provide tax advice to clients on returns, claims, elections, and liabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, and expand knowledge of tax and develop wider experience.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and tax law.
- Ability to work effectively with the firm's information management systems and financial systems.
