Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Managed Services team as a remote working Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer. This role will involve working with a diverse range of customers across various sectors, supporting Cyber Security Services and collaborating with a highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including routing, firewalling, and virtualization.
- Configure and manage Windows and Linux servers, as well as network devices such as Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
- Implement and manage VMware (ESXi, VSAN) and HP Servers, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Manage server racks, cabling, and switches, as well as Refnet locations, capacity, configuration, and connectivity.
- Develop and implement ITIL-based ticketing and change management processes.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative, with the ability to work autonomously and manage confidential information professionally.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and applications.
- Experience with network protocols, including Layer 2/3 and Layer 7.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux servers, as well as network devices such as Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
- Knowledge of VMware (ESXi, VSAN) and HP Servers, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Experience with server racks, cabling, and switches, as well as Refnet locations, capacity, configuration, and connectivity.
- ITIL-based ticketing and change management experience.
- Cybersecurity experience, including threat identification and mitigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
