About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team at Sosandar, a leading online fashion brand. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality footwear and accessories that meet our brand's aesthetic and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the supply base to build a commercial range for the Footwear & Accessories category, reflecting the brand's aesthetic and customer preferences.
  • Be responsible for range building, using a strong analytical eye and creative talent to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor best and worst sellers across the clothing departments to ensure the footwear range enhances the clothing range and drives additional purchasing.
  • Manage the critical path to ensure the range is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
  • Improve the category bought-in margin by renegotiating and re-sourcing with the supply base.
  • Source, select, develop, and negotiate with suppliers to deliver the right footwear and accessories at the right time.
  • Maximise best sellers by developing additional styles that broaden the range and reduce risk buying.
  • Identify product opportunities by reviewing the competition and inspirational brands.
  • Complete buying trips as needed within the UK and internationally.
  • Present to the management team on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, ensuring clear and concise communication.
Requirements
  • A commercial fashion eye with the ability to understand the brand's aesthetic, customers, and competitors.
  • Experience in trading an e-commerce department to maximise sales.
  • The ability to problem-solve under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to adapt to new ways of working and share ideas to improve processes.
  • Strong communication skills to enable effective working relationships with all departments and levels.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Understanding of the test and repeat e-commerce buying model.
  • Experience of buying for high street footwear brands.
