Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to join our team at Apex Care Homes Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a varied and engaging program of activities designed to enrich the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Activity Planning: Develop and deliver a wide range of creative, meaningful, and culturally inclusive activities that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.
- Resident Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and the local community to encourage participation and create a sense of belonging.
- Community Involvement: Organize outings, trips, and holidays, ensuring all activities are accessible and enjoyable for every resident.
- Wellbeing Focus: Actively work to reduce depression, loneliness, and boredom among residents, promoting their independence and happiness.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of resident activities and wellbeing, regularly reviewing and adjusting programs to better meet their needs.
- Safeguarding: Ensure that all residents are safeguarded at all times, raising any concerns with management or relevant authorities as necessary.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in working with individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, or physical disabilities.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate both residents and staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to accommodate the needs of the residents.
- Passion: A genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older adults and a commitment to upholding the values of dignity, respect, and choice.
