Heron Foods Store Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Store Manager to join our team at Heron Foods. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of your store, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Salary: £28,548 per annum
About the RoleThe Store Manager is a key leadership role that requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team. You will be responsible for managing a team of employees, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of store presentation and stock management.
- Manage a team of employees, including recruiting, training, and appraising staff
- Ensure availability of stock, oversee pricing, and maintain efficient stock control
- Respond to customer queries and complaints while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Control wage costs and protect company assets
- Maintain an outstanding store condition, ensuring cleanliness, health & safety legislation, and visual merchandising standards
- Maximise profitability, meet sales targets, and motivate staff to do so
- Take personal responsibility for managing the store
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous success within a similar Store Manager role, preferably within a fast-paced retail environment
- Experience in leading, managing, and motivating a team, with a proven track record of achieving results
- An honest and energetic personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Tenacity and enthusiasm, with a passion for working in a busy and dynamic environment
