Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive vehicles in a safe and controlled manner, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits.
  • Ensure all vehicles are checked regularly to ensure they are in good working order and report any defects.
  • Secure passengers and wheelchair users correctly using safety equipment.
  • Keep vehicles fuelled and clean, and ensure seating is removed and replaced as required.
  • Park vehicles correctly in allocated bays.
  • Operate lifts and other equipment to assist passengers safely.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and clients.
  • Assist Passenger Assistants with their duties as needed.
Requirements and Benefits:
  • Hold a full, unrestricted D driving licence with no more than three penalty points.
  • Hold a CPC qualification card with up-to-date training.
  • A minimum of two years' experience driving a bus or coach.
  • A willingness to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • Hold a current D4 medical examination report.
  • Successful applicants will receive a contract for 30 hours per week, worked on a split-shift basis.
