Linen Porter Assistant

About the Role:
The Caledonian Edinburgh is seeking a skilled Linen Porter to join their team. As a Linen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining linen control reports, recording linen abuse, and ensuring that all linen is counted correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain linen control reports and record any linen abuse
- Work to daily working schedules
- Ensure that all linen is counted correctly and identify differences on the daily control sheet
- Maintain security of linen room keys and the linen room while on duty
- Ensure that you familiarize yourself with the weekly function sheet, ensuring that all stock levels are correct and that the C&B department have their requested linen stocks
- Ensure that the security surrounding the linen service cupboards on the bedroom floors is adhered to
- Assist and be courteous to guests and display good customer care and social skills
- Deal with guest complaints or compliments and refer to senior management at the earliest opportunity
- Work in co-operation with any staff and management
- Attend hotel and departmental training sessions whenever instructed
- Work within all Health & Safety requirements
