We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice in Childcare at our Lavenders Day Nursery in Bedford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
  • Plan and implement activities that promote children's development and learning.
  • Interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young learners.
  • Adhere to nursery routines and policies, seeking guidance from your leadership team as needed.
What We Offer:
  • A full-time role (37.5 hours a week) working with children under 5 in our nursery.
  • A varied shift pattern, usually between 07:15am-18:30pm Monday-Friday.
  • 'Off the job' learning time within your working week to support your studies.
  • A childcare trainer/assessor from our in-house Training Academy of Excellence.
  • 11 group training sessions with other apprentices from across our partnership.
Benefits:
  • An hourly pay rate of £6.55, increasing to £10 per hour after 6 months and £11.44 per hour after 12 months.
  • A 'congratulations' payment of £300 upon successful completion of the level 3 apprenticeship.

To be considered for this role, you must have documentation to evidence your right to work in the UK, photographic ID, and official documentation to evidence your national insurance number. You must also have access to a computer and be comfortable with travelling to and from group training sessions in Newport Pagnell.
