Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Harefield Hospital, Middlesex. As a Band 5/6 Community Rehab Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to develop further clinically, supervising junior staff and students and contributing to key departmental projects.

• Provide a specialist physiotherapy service to patients in cardio-thoracic surgery / cardiology, transplantation, respiratory medicine, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Manage own clinical/non-clinical caseload and be responsible for a defined area of service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
• Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner with freedom to act on own interpretation of data.
• Supervise, educate and assess the performance of physiotherapy students to a graduate standard and involve working with Universities to ensure standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by degree level qualification.
• Supervise, educate and appraise the performance/competence of junior physiotherapists on a daily basis.

• Ability to assess and treat patients in cardiorespiratory field.
• Experience in the supervision of students and assistants / more junior members of staff.

• Degree BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.
• Health Professions Council State registration.
