### Job Title: ALN Learning Support Assistant

#### Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to access the curriculum, participate in activities, and develop essential skills.

#### Key Responsibilities

* Provide individualized support to students with ALN, both inside and outside the classroom, to help them achieve their learning goals.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies outlined in students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Support students in developing social skills, communication skills, and independence, as appropriate to their needs.
* Adapt learning materials and resources to suit the individual needs and learning styles of students with ALN.
* Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students with ALN.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and ALNCO as necessary.
* Assist with the organization and supervision of activities, ensuring the inclusion of students with ALN.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing updates on student progress and discussing strategies for support at home.

#### Requirements

* Experience working or volunteering with children in the UK, ideally within an education setting.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of all students.
* Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond positively to the changing needs of students and the school community.
