About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Operative to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a Site Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and supporting the Site Management team in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring duties to assist the Site Management team in maintaining plots, compound, and surrounding areas.
- Maintain and follow all safety procedures on the job site, reporting any violations immediately to Site Management.
- Ensure the site is operating in accordance with health and safety requirements, reporting and addressing any breaches as necessary.
- Erect and maintain site safety signage, and secure any hazards each evening prior to leaving site.
- Provide basic first aid if required, having received the necessary training.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of site materials, ensuring they are protected in accordance with site material storage.
- Minimise loss or damage to materials, reporting any damages or loss immediately to Site Management.
- Check and receive material deliveries in accordance with material strategies and site requirements.
- Maintain site presentation, including tidiness and organisation of storage areas, clearing general debris, and ensuring compliance with the housekeeping policy.
- Assist with the snagging and cleaning of plots, ensuring building areas, dwellings, and boundary areas are secure.
- Open and close the site each day, supervising the main gate to ensure all visitors have valid operative entry and all deliveries are signed for and guided to the compound.
