As a key member of Team ITG, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence within our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Group Sales Ledger, ensuring seamless financial operations and effective credit control processes. You will also provide guidance and support to existing staff across Accounts Payable & Credit Control, set performance targets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Group Sales Ledger

  • Issue all Sales Invoices for ITG UK across 2 platforms, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Be a key stakeholder in the onboarding of new clients & franchise clients, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Identify and implement efficiency initiatives to speed up the order to cash cycle, improving financial performance and reducing costs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a robust inter-company invoicing process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Control Invoicing process for overseas subsidiaries, managing complex financial transactions and ensuring timely payments.

Staff Support and Development:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the AP, AR and Treasury teams, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth, ensuring a motivated and engaged team.
  • Address staff inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service and support.

Credit Control Performance:

  • Monitor credit control processes, including collections, invoicing, and payment reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Provide medium-term Inflow forecasting, helping to drive business growth and financial planning.
  • Analyse credit risk and recommend improvements to minimise bad debt, ensuring financial stability and growth.
  • Collaborate with Credit Control Team and other stakeholders to optimise credit policies, driving business success.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

  • Develop and maintain SLAs with internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, meeting business needs and expectations.
  • Resolve customer-related inquiries within agreed-upon timeframes, providing excellent customer service and support.

Finance Systems Management:

  • Work with the Group FC and others to help develop the usage of the Finance System (Sage Intacct) to support billings/collection/payment, improving financial performance and reducing costs.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, ensuring seamless financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in finance shared services or similar roles, with a strong track record of financial excellence.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex financial transactions.
  • Strong Excel proficiency (xlookup, sumifs etc), with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, (Useful but not required - Sage Intacct/Synergist), with the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data effectively, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with the ability to make decisions and take ownership of financial operations.
