Job Overview

KPI People Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join their workshop team in Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing complex vehicle failures and rectifying them to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults to manufacturer specifications.
  2. Cambelt, clutch, gearbox, and engine repairs/replacements.
  3. Electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
  4. Mechanic warranty repairs.
  5. Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards (if qualified).
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance, as well as manufacturer accreditation as a diagnostic technician. A minimum of 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience and a full, clean UK driving licence are also required.

Estimated Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Benefits and Training

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, 40 hours of work per week including one in three Saturday mornings. Manufacturer training programmes and opportunities to qualify as an MOT tester are also available.
