Job Summary

Primary Care Careers has an opportunity for an Administrator/Receptionist to provide administrative support to the primary healthcare team. This role requires a self-motivated and professional individual with excellent IT and typing skills, as well as a friendly approach and strong administration and organisational skills.

Main Duties

  • Registering new patients and scanning hospital letters and all mail.
  • Stock ordering, processing repeat prescriptions, and managing email.
  • Providing holiday cover for reception, billing and invoicing, and processing orders and payments.
  • Managing referrals, processing reports, and handling phone enquiries efficiently.

About Us

Primary Care Careers consists of a practice population of approximately 3 GP partners, two regular GP locums, and an associated staff of practice nurses/HCA to provide medical services to our patients.

We are part of the Hatters Health Network, providing additional health support for our surgery in conjunction with 5 other practices.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good time management skills and flexibility to adapt to change.

Experience

Essential

  • Excellent IT and typing skills, a friendly approach, and strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
  • SystmOne knowledge and ideally 1 year's experience or equivalent working within a GP practice or NHS environment.
