Automotive Systems Specialist

£34,000 DOE - Vehicle Technician
As a skilled Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of our customers' vehicles. You will diagnose and repair complex automotive systems and components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately diagnose vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
- Identify the root cause of problems and recommend effective solutions.
- Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and other automotive systems.
- Follow manufacturer's repair procedures and specifications.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs to verify proper functioning.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and customers regarding service progress and recommendations.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of repairs and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of level 2 in IMI vehicle repair and 2 years experience.
- Full valid UK driving license.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
