We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to drive our technical agenda and ensure the delivery of safe and legal products that meet and exceed customer expectations.The role will involve implementing a robust scientific approach and managing due diligence to guarantee product safety and compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead a committed Technical Team, providing exceptional support to internal and external customers while adhering to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles.Working closely with the Head of Technical and Sustainability, you will develop and implement effective processes and practices to maintain our high standards. This includes collaborating with the Quality System Coordinator, Hygiene & Facilities Manager, and Operations Team to improve hygiene, GMP, food safety, and compliance standards.Investigate customer complaints and quality failures promptly, addressing any concerns and communicating effectively with customers and suppliers as necessary.Be the key controller in change management processes and sign off on raw material and finished product specifications.Identify areas at risk of compromising food safety integrity and escalate these to the Head of Technical and Sustainability.Ensure adherence to relevant Health and Safety legislation and guidelines.To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of allergens and food legislation, with a minimum HACCP Level 3 qualification. BRC Lead Auditor certification is desirable, along with experience working with the BRC standard and international food legislation.Good communication skills are essential for developing strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, particularly those in the retail sector.You should be highly organized, agile, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Support the development of British Bakels' quality culture and lead by example in corrective and preventive action planning and delivery.This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and contribute to the success of our growing business.The salary range for this position is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
