{"About the Role": "We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Claro Barracks, Ripon. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. You will also assist with menu planning, work well as part of a team, and follow recipe cards to prepare and serve a range of meals.

Responsibilities:

* Cook and prepare food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
* Assist with menu planning and costings
* Work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and communicating effectively
* Follow recipe cards to prepare and serve a range of meals
* Complete daily paperwork to cover due diligence
* Assist with deliveries and stock checks
* Place food orders and maintain kitchen records
* Share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries
* Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries
* Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
* Maintain full knowledge of all menu items served
* Manage production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage
* Act as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks
* Undertake relevant training as required

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar food service environment
* Relevant culinary qualification
* Excellent team player and communicator
* Confident chef
* Security checks required for this role
* Flexibility and ability to innovate
