Primary Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in organizing the classroom learning environment and delivering lessons
  • Work alongside the teacher to support children during teaching and learning inputs
  • Deliver small group sessions to develop children's Literacy and Maths skills
  • Support children's personal, social and emotional development
  • Work within the wider school team to organize extra-curricular events in school
  • Support children on an individual basis

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational or childcare setting
  • Some knowledge of working with children with additional needs
  • Energetic and creative approach to inspire children's learning
  • Passion for children's development in education
  • DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply
  • NVQ's or relevant childcare qualifications desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility
