About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading and managing day-to-day procurement activities from initiation to completion, aligned to project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage procurement projects from discovery to delivery, working closely with the global procurement team and key suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, projects, and H&S teams.
  • Identify and mitigate project and commercial risks, ensuring the provision of detailed documentation and maintaining an overview of procurement status, price, savings, negotiations, and deliverables.
  • Support logistics, supplier variation, and order management.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree, qualifications, membership, or procurement experience.
  • Experience of running procurement tenders and processes, with a strong understanding of construction or technical procurement.
  • Proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and as a team.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills in relation to supplier management.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management skills.
