Job Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Bayman Atkinson Smythe in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a values-led Not For Profit organization with a real focus on making a positive impact.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Financial Director and will be responsible for managing a small finance team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing the production of monthly management accounts and business partnering packs
  • Leading and managing the production and reporting of annual budgets, including providing financial training and guidance to budget holders
  • Reviewing payroll costs and reporting
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for income generation and spotting key trends and issues affecting financial performance
  • Continually improving relevant finance systems and processes, driving through automation and efficiencies
  • Leading and developing the finance team, mentoring and coaching to engender a collaborative forward-thinking culture and ethos
About You

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (CCAB) with relevant experience. You will possess strong relationship-building skills and the natural ability to lead and motivate a team. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting internal and external stakeholders and an excellent working knowledge of external and internal reporting cycles, management accounts and budget preparation and analysis. You will also have a solid understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles.
