Job Description

Pay rate: Competitive

SRG is seeking a Scientific Researcher to work with a global pharmaceutical company, characterising proprietary molecules using chromatography- and spectroscopy-based methods. The successful candidate will characterise large panels of protein-based lead molecules, perform data analysis and interpretation, record outcomes in electronic lab notebooks and communicate these to project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and execute experiments to characterise proteins using biophysical methods, such as SEC, DLS and DSF
  • Communicate experimental outcomes to non-experts on multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Keep high-quality electronic lab notebooks

Basic Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in chemical or biological sciences.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience characterising proteins using biophysical methods

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience in working with automated liquid handlers
  • Familiarity with antibody drug discovery processes
  • Experience characterising protein-protein interactions using surface plasmon resonance
  • This position would suit a recent PhD graduate or someone with a B.Sc. and several years of lab experience
