Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bar Attendant to join our team at The George Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu offerings and provide recommendations to guests.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for billing.
- Assist in keeping the bar area clean and well-stocked, including washing glassware and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bartending role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices within a hospitality setting.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing payments and managing tabs.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: £11.44-£11.45 per hour.
- No less than 30 hours per week.
- Benefits include company pension, discounted or free food, and on-site parking.
