About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Manager to join our rapidly growing Clara Analytics and Technology team at KPMG-UnitedKingdom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of data analytics and technology solutions on complex external Financial Services Audit engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to retrieve, prepare, and process data from various sources.
  • Develop and implement analytics and technology solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • Report to senior managers on a portfolio of projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support managers by leading diverse teams with an output-oriented working model, including budgeting and scoping.
  • Prepare working documents to explain the approach taken.
  • Perform first-level quality assurance procedures on data analytics outputs to meet KPMG's rigorous quality standards.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships and network with Audit and Assurance stakeholders.
  • Support the growth of the Clara team by developing innovative solutions and 'blue sky thinking.'
  • Contribute to people management by promoting a culture of coaching, inspiring others, prioritizing wellbeing, and career development within the team.
Technical Core Competencies
  • Technology skills: Utilize firm-approved audit tools and innovative technology solutions to increase audit quality, productivity, and data insights.
  • Engagement management: Manage and execute the engagement, including project management, team management, and remediation of deviations from the audit plan and timeline.
  • Evaluation of audit results: Evaluate evidence from audit procedures to determine if audit objectives were achieved.
  • Documentation: Complete audit documentation demonstrating an unwavering focus on audit quality.

Experience
  • Essential:
    • Competent in the use of a low-code analytics tool, such as Alteryx, and experience in reviewing the work of others.
    • Proven experience of managing data analytics projects.
    • Competent in at least one visualization package, such as PowerBI, Celonis, or Tableau.
    • Big 4 professional services environment (or those with similar skills gained in industry) experience.
    • Identifying the root cause of issues and advising or auditing an entity on the impact and recommendation for this.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including being able to communicate and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Beneficial:
    • Experience with one or more coding languages, such as SQL, Python, or ACL.
Qualifications

ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification (or international equivalent) or trainee.
