About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Consultant to join our team at Barlborough Hospital, a state-of-the-art Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery Hospital. As a key member of our anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre and post-operative assessment of patients
  • Deliver cutting-edge anaesthetic techniques to enable same-day discharge after knee and hip replacement surgery
  • Work closely with our team of Consultants and the hospital's Medical Director, Marco, and local Leadership Team
  • Contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in our audit and clinical governance programme
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a current registration with the GMC's specialist register of anaesthetics, with several years' experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK. You will be committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development, and will have a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
