About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM & Digital Engineering Specialist to join our team as a Digital Engineering Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing digital processes, ensuring data quality, and providing expertise to project managers, engineers, and contractors. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital innovation and wants to make a real difference in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital process oversight: Review contractors' BIM Execution Plans, audit processes, and ensure accurate delivery plans (MIDP/IDP).
  • Data quality assurance: Check digital design data (asset, CAD, GIS) to ensure it meets project standards.
  • Expertise provision: Support project managers, engineers, and contractors in improving their digital engineering capabilities.
  • Collaboration and innovation: Work with central teams to solve problems, streamline processes, and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting: Track and report on project performance, ensuring timely metrics and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS1192).
  • Proficiency in digital tools like ProjectWise and managing CAD, GIS, or asset data.
  • Experience with systems assurance and common data environments.
  • Skilled in analysing data, improving processes, and managing technical information in complex projects.
  • Confident in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and delivering engaging training sessions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
  • A background in BIM/Digital Engineering within engineering, consultancy, or rail-related projects is desirable.
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities, deliver high-quality results, and adapt to changing demands.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
