About the Role

Plexus is seeking a skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our global Cybersecurity and IT team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for reducing overall cybersecurity risk through the application of cybersecurity controls, concepts, and best practices. You will collaborate with global teams to enable strategic business objectives and develop, maintain, and optimize the Cybersecurity teams' technology stack.


Key Responsibilities


  • Partner effectively with global teams to enhance business processes, ensuring that required IT controls, compliance, and regulatory standards are met, and support application, infrastructure, and business needs.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for other analysts during advanced incident investigation and provide Incident Response (IR) support when analysis confirms actionable incidents.
  • Leverage threat intelligence to identify and search for new malicious Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), and implement new or enhanced threat detection logic, signatures, and/or IOCs using the security tool stack.
  • Configure cybersecurity tools and technology functions across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, and conduct security reviews of new technology prior to deployment in production.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and emerging technology, including frameworks and regulations, and current threat trends.

Requirements


  • Significant practical work experience of driving best practice Cybersecurity activities, preferably within the Armed forces or private sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant UK government cybersecurity regulations and a strong understanding of control interpretation.
  • Strong understanding of various cybersecurity frameworks and familiarity with Cybersecurity Essentials + framework and certification.
  • Experience analyzing possible attack activities, such as network probing/scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, and possible abnormal activities, including worms, Trojans, viruses, etc.
  • Foundational knowledge of advanced cyber threats, threat vectors, attacker methodology, including tools, tactics, and procedures, and how they tie into the Cyber Kill Chain or ATT&CK framework.
  • Experience with scripting/programming skills, such as Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc., and understanding of web application and common vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top Ten.
  • Experience configuring or running SOAR or automation tooling, and intermediate knowledge in system security architecture and security solutions.
  • In-depth hands-on experience with technical security solutions, and CISSP, GIAC, CIMP, CEH, Security+ certification is preferred.
