Teaching Assistant for SEN School

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for a SEN school in Tonbridge. The school provides education for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe, and complex needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate and professional team who are committed to providing high-quality education and care for our students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning and delivery
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure seamless support for students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a professional and caring individual with a good understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable children. You should be flexible, adaptable, and able to use your own initiative. Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential.
