Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Graduate Trainee to join our RTW Design team. As a Graduate Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, developing your skills and expertise in ready-to-wear design.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to translate briefs into 3D pieces, researching inspiration for collections and developing shapes and ideas.
  2. Pattern Cutting and Draping: Drape and pattern cut to generate new and innovative shapes and volumes, producing quick, first 3D mock-ups to check fit and fabric.
  3. Prototyping and Sampling: Produce prototypes and finish samples in a timely manner for presentations, amending patterns and altering garments as required.
  4. Design Support: Create boards and rails to present to the Design team, ensuring the studio archive is maintained and organised, and providing general organisation of the department and support to the design team.
Requirements
  1. Design Experience: Experience and interest in Ready to Wear Design, with technical capability to create mock-ups and work in 3D.
  2. Pattern Cutting and Stitching: Intermediate pattern cutting and stitching skills, with understanding of fabrics, their properties, and ways in which they can be finished.
  3. Collaboration and Creativity: Collaborative team player with strong initiative, high level of creativity, flexibility, and adaptability.
  4. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
