Principal People Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Housing Association Safety Manager to join their team, working closely with a well-established Housing Association with a diverse and exciting stock. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building safety, including operational maintenance of fire systems and M&E systems.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Housing Association Safety Manager to take on a leadership role, managing a small team of Building Safety Technical Coordinators and collaborating with Lead Building Safety Managers, Head of Service, Director of Building Compliance, and the Strategic Building Safety Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure buildings meet safety requirements.
  • Leadership: Manage a team of Building Safety Technical Coordinators, providing guidance and support.
  • Safety Management: Ensure buildings are safe for occupancy, meeting requirements of the Building Safety Act.
  • Documentation: Assist in producing Building Safety Case Reports to obtain Building Assessment Certificates.
  • Operational Duties: Maintain building safety through maintenance reviews, risk assessments, fire safety reviews, and structural evaluations.
  • Procurement and Data Management: Oversee procurement of specialist services and manage key building safety data, adhering to procurement processes and systems.
About You

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of building safety, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse stakeholders. A Level 4 qualification in Building Safety is required, and you should be highly computer literate, capable of managing data across various systems.

A full driving license and daily access to a vehicle for site visits are essential for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
