About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Legal Secretary to join our dynamic team at Eccles Heddon in the Commercial Property department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

This role is essential in providing administrative support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Key responsibilities include drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports using case management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

The successful candidate will also conduct audio typing of dictations from solicitors efficiently and accurately, communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, both verbally and in writing, and ensure compliance with office policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment is preferred. Proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), with excellent typing skills is required.

A familiarity with audio typing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including company pension, Monday to Friday working hours, and opportunities for career development.
