Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing support for the safe and efficient execution of transport operations.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Transport Operations Planning: Review and amend daily plans as necessary to ensure compliance with network SLA's/KPI's.
  2. Issue Management: Manage daily operations issues and resolve transport and local warehouse issues in a timely manner.
  3. Driver Management: Manage short-term driver absence and relocation of work, ensuring compliance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards.
  4. Fleet Management: Conduct pre-shift checks (yard checks) and manage the defect process, ensuring fleet management (OPS) processes are adhered to.
  5. Accident and Breakdown Management: Manage accidents and breakdowns via standard operating procedures.
  6. Driver Performance Management: Manage driver performance to identify any major discrepancies in accordance with the Daily Transport Plan.
  7. Subcontractor Management: Brief/debrief subcontractors starting and finishing at the site.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of transport operations and logistics.
