Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an Academic Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of teaching and assessment activities, including tutorials and seminars. You will contribute to the development of teaching materials, participate in the assessment process, and provide effective feedback to students. You will also assist in the transfer of knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development and design of the curriculum. Additionally, you will undertake limited administrative duties and engage in training as required.

Dimensions
Develop and maintain involvement in teaching plans, deliver teaching for undergraduate courses, and undertake teaching in accordance with the fair distribution of subject/departmental workload.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Knowledge/Qualifications: A good first degree in the subject area, current enrolment as a postgraduate student, or qualified as or training for professional practice as a solicitor or advocate.

Skills: Excellent communication and language skills, excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, time/project/management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, and ability to accept collegiate responsibilities.

Experience Essential
Participation in small group learning and successful completion of previous year's APR, where appropriate.

Desirable
Successful completion of first year of postgraduate research degree and previous teaching experience.
