**About Us**

We're focused on mitigating extreme risks associated with autonomous AI systems. To address this, we're advancing the state of the science in risk modeling and developing novel techniques. Our team is given huge autonomy to chase research directions and build evaluations that relate to our over-arching threat model.

**Your Role**

  • You'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the risks we're investigating, including scientists, engineers, and domain experts.
  • Investigate AI systems' potential to conduct research, particularly in sensitive areas.
  • Research the potential for AI systems to autonomously replicate themselves across networks and study their ability to establish persistence.

**Requirements**

  • Experience working within a research team that has delivered multiple exceptional scientific breakthroughs, in deep learning or a related field.
  • A comprehensive understanding of large language models, including hands-on experience with pre-training or fine-tuning LLMs.
  • A strong track-record of academic excellence, such as multiple spotlight papers at top-tier conferences.
