Civil Engineering Team Lead

As a key member of the site team, the Civil Engineering Team Lead will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a high-profile highways scheme in the North of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on new challenges and develop their skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the site team to manage all on-site construction activities while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Overseeing daily site operations to ensure the project stays on track with the established schedule and budget.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor to meet project milestones.
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications, addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
- Assisting in preparing method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Providing regular updates on project progress, productivity, costs, and potential risks or issues that may impact the project.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations.
- Relevant qualifications in construction (HNC/HND, NVQ, or a degree in construction/civil engineering).
- SMSTS certification is mandatory.
- Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and within budget.
The estimated salary range for this position is £64,000 - £69,000 + benefits package.
