Senior Financial Accountant - BGBS (12-month FTC)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to lead our financial reporting and accounting functions for BGBS Customers. About the Role:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  1. Leading the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including journal postings in SAP.
  2. Assisting in the preparation, filing, and completion of local Statutory Accounts and group reporting.
  3. Performing reconciliations of debtor/creditor balances and profit and loss intercompany trading for simple entities.
  4. Producing and investigating balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  5. Providing timely information and responses to Bertelsmann group's tax consultants and auditors during half-year and year-end audits.
  6. Ensuring the correct application of group accounting policies and maintaining strong controls, compliance, and governance.
  7. Leading strategic projects, such as the implementation of new systems, to enhance our financial processes.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with one of the UK CCAB chartered professional bodies, including CIMA.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of key accounting concepts and general reporting requirements.
