Job DescriptionThis challenging and wide-ranging role will be instrumental in shaping the commercial partnerships strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). As Senior Commercial Partnerships Lawyer, you will negotiate and draft high-standard commercial agreements, provide legal advice to senior stakeholders, and support the legal team as needed.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and negotiating distribution/commercial partnerships contracts, focusing on regions within EMEA; managing linear and non-linear carriage deals with third-party platforms via various distribution means, across the entire WBD portfolio of content.
- Supporting all aspects of the distribution business with TV platforms, including contracts, strategic issues, dispute resolution, and contract compliance.
- Serving as a key lawyer for commercial matters such as distribution, agency, ad sales, sponsorship, IP/IT, marketing, and PR.
- Providing legal support on handling regulatory matters and coordinating external counsel on key litigation disputes and enforcement policies.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Technical proficiency in contract and IP/IT laws, with excellent drafting skills.
- Qualification as a lawyer, preferably with experience at top law firms.
- Negotiation skills to deliver proper legal protection while achieving excellent commercial results.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively at all levels within the company.
This role offers an estimated salary of $140,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
