About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyperson to join our team at Anchor, working on a Monday-only schedule. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day minor maintenance and repairs to a high standard, ensuring a comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Differentiate between minor repairs and those requiring specialist skills, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening, building, or maintenance is desirable.
- A range of practical skills, including maintenance and gardening.
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality, as well as the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
- Health and safety knowledge in the workplace.
Desirable Skills
- Well-organized and able to plan workload effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and empathy skills, with a friendly personality.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to undertake a wide range of activities.
- Customer-focused at all times.
