Job Opportunity: English Teacher

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Teacher to join our team at one of our client schools in Scunthorpe.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • They will engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in language teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that guides improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the English curriculum.
  • Participate in school-wide activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
  • Possesses a degree in English or a relevant subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Please note: This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
